The method is simple to describe and strict to apply: a question leads to sources, sources lead to extracted observations, and only then does an editorial interpretation enter the page.
Three kinds of statement
A registry fact is something displayed by a named authority, such as a cultivar spelling or a group field. A trial observation belongs to a named trial, year and location. An editorial tag translates those facts into a cautious garden use, and it is never allowed to impersonate the first two.
Unknown, conflicting and seller-only fields remain labelled. The point is not to make every record look complete; it is to show a reader which next question is still open.
Source hierarchy
For cultivar identity, start with KAVB cultivar database. For species names, use Kew POWO. For named garden observations, use RHS trials. For practical planting and plant-health context, compare Illinois Extension and Iowa State Extension. Each source is linked from the page where it matters, and the retrieval date is kept in the research notes outside the generated directory.
Archive captures supply route history and evidence of what the old site tried to cover. They do not grant permission to reuse its copy, branding or photographs. The launch uses original text and Runware-generated garden photography stored in the source asset directory.
Corrections and updates
A correction should name the page, the field and the source that supports the change. The desk records the difference, checks whether related pages use the same field and updates the date when the change is material.
Use the correction desk to send a correction. The editorial policy covers voice, uncertainty and commercial separation; the editorial desk page identifies the publication byline.
